알고리즘이 우리의 일상과 사회를 점점 더 깊이 변화시키는 지금, 이 질문은 그 어느 때보다 중요해졌습니다. 오늘은 AI와 사회 정의가 만나는 복잡한 지점, 그리고 그 안에서 희망과 위험이 어떻게 공존하는지 함께 이야기해보고자 합니다.

AI가 바꾸는 세상, 그리고 남겨진 고민
AI 기술은 의료, 교육, 취업, 법 집행 등 사회의 거의 모든 영역을 빠르게 변화시키고 있습니다. 효율성과 혁신을 약속하지만, 동시에 중요한 윤리적 질문도 던집니다."이런 도구들이 기존의 불평등을 되풀이하거나, 더 심화시키지 않으려면 우리는 무엇을 해야 할까요?"
 
코드 속에 숨어 있는 불평등
AI는 결코 중립적이지 않습니다. 알고리즘은 이미 편견이 존재하는 세상에서 만들어진 데이터를 학습하기 때문입니다. 예를 들어, 일부 얼굴 인식 시스템은 유색인종을 잘못 인식하기도 하고, 채용 알고리즘이 특정 집단을 우선시하거나, 예측 경찰 시스템이 소수 집단을 더 많이 표적으로 삼는 일이 실제로 벌어지고 있습니다.

AI is transforming nearly every part of society—
from healthcare and education to employment and law enforcement.
It promises efficiency and innovation,
but it also brings with it serious ethical questions.

One question in particular stands out:

“How can we ensure these technologies don’t repeat—or even worsen—existing inequalities?”
