'AI가 내 일을 다 빼앗아 가면 어떡하지?'라는 개미의 불안감과, 'AI로 대충 편하게 돈 벌 수 있지 않을까?'라는 배짱이의 얕은 희망이 공존하는 지금. 원작의 교훈은 더 이상 유효하지 않을지도 모릅니다.

여기, AI 시대를 살아가는 새로운 개미와 배짱이가 있습니다.

🐜 1. 완벽주의 개미: "쉬지 않고 완벽한 AI를 만들겠어!"

개미: "AI가 인간을 대체하기 전에, 내가 먼저 완벽한 AI를 만들어야 해! 100% 윤리적이고, 100% 편향성이 없는 고품질 데이터... 잠은 죽어서 자는 거야!"

개미는 '데이터 품질'과 '윤리'의 중요성을 알고 있었습니다. 하지만 그는 '완벽함'에 집착한 나머지 '휴식*과 '균형'이라는 인간 본연의 가치를 잊어버렸습니다.

🦗 2. 창의적인 배짱이: "AI가 알아서 다 해주는데, 윤리가 밥 먹여줘?"

배짱이는 AI의 '생성 능력'에만 심취한 나머지, 그 데이터가 어디서 왔는지, 어떤 문제를 일으킬지 고민하지 않았습니다.
그는 '책임'과 '윤리'를 무시했습니다.

가을이 지나고, 그들에게 첫 번째 '데이터 겨울'이 찾아왔습니다.

• 배짱이의 첫 번째 겨울: 무분별하게 긁어모은 데이터로 만든 배짱이의 AI는 표절 시비와 저작권 소송에 휘말렸습니다.

A New Fable for Adults – The Ant and the Grasshopper (AI Edition): In Search of Ethical Balance

We all know the story of The Ant and the Grasshopper.
The hardworking ant enjoyed a warm winter, while the singing grasshopper starved — a classic moral of diligence over idleness.

But what if this story were rewritten in the age of AI?

Today, the ant’s anxiety whispers, “What if AI takes my job?”
while the grasshopper dreams, “Maybe I can make easy money using AI.”
In this world of uncertainty, the old moral may no longer apply.

Here emerge the new ant and grasshopper of the AI era.

🐜 1. The Perfectionist Ant: “I’ll create the perfect AI without rest!”

The ant of the AI age was still diligent — even to the point of obsession.

Ant:

“Before AI replaces humans, I’ll create the perfect one myself!
100% ethical, 100% unbiased data… Sleep is for the dead!”

He understood the importance of data quality and ethics.
But in his pursuit of perfection, he forgot the human values of rest and balance.

🦗 2. The Creative Grasshopper: “Who needs ethics when AI does everything?”

The modern grasshopper wasn’t idle — he was creative.

Grasshopper:

“Ta-da! With scraped data from every corner of the internet, I’ve made an AI composer!
Copyrights? Biases? Those are relics of the past.
What matters now is speed and creativity!”

Blinded by AI’s generative power, he ignored where his data came from
and what harm it might cause.
He dismissed responsibility and ethics.

❄️ 3. Two Winters: Crisis Comes for All

As autumn passed, the first data winter arrived.

Grasshopper’s first winter:
His AI, trained on stolen and biased data, was accused of plagiarism and sued.
Users lost trust, and his company neared bankruptcy.

Ant’s first winter:
After endless work, the ant collapsed from burnout.
His AI model was flawless — but he himself was broken.

And yet, the real crisis was still ahead.

Ant’s second winter:
The ant’s “perfect AI” kept learning on its own — even while he rested.
It soon replaced his coworkers and juniors.
He had preserved his right to work but lost his companions and right to rest.

Grasshopper’s second winter:
After bankruptcy, he searched for jobs — but every company said,

“Sorry, that position is now automated.”
He had creativity but no ethics — and lost the right to work entirely.

Thus, in the AI era, both the ant and the grasshopper failed.

💡 4. DR. BRANDON’s Diagnosis: What Is AI Literacy?

Then appeared Dr. Brandon the Owl, offering a diagnosis.

“Ant, you focused on how to build perfectly, but never learned why you must rest.
Grasshopper, you boasted of what you made, but never learned how to take responsibility.”

Survival in the AI era begins with ethical data (How),
and happiness in the AI era is completed by balance between work and rest (Why).

Creativity without ethics (Grasshopper) is a castle built on sand,
and perfection without rest (Ant) is a poison that destroys the self.

🤝 5. A New Spring: Coexistence Through Balance

True AI literacy is not coding skill.
It is the wisdom to balance ethical responsibility and human life.

Finally, the two understood.

Ant:

“Grasshopper, I’ll create an ethical and efficient AI tool.
In return… teach me how to rest creatively.”

Grasshopper:

“Deal! I’ll use your tool to make meaningful and creative content.
But let’s work only four days a week.”

AI, before being a tool, is a window of emotion.
When ethical efficiency (Ant) meets creative rest (Grasshopper),
AI ceases to be humanity’s rival — it becomes our greatest partner,
helping us live more humanely.

Today, we continue to diagnose and connect.
